There’s Always Gonna Be Another Mountain…

September 13, 2009

And so it begins…a new chapter in my life.

I’ve officially moved to California to become a songwriter and theologian. Crazy huh? Going to classes and playing open mic nights are the game plan. Missing Brent is the sacrifice…but I’ve got a heart of gold that lives with me that will keep me going….

I miss whats old and fear whats new…but that is why I came…to finally climb that looming mountain I’ve only ever dared at looked at…

I am afraid of beginning
’cause I don’t know how to end
But you told me that the mountain before us
Would become a plain in our eyes
So I won’t despise
I won’t despise the day
I won’t despise the day of small things

Even when you tell me…
Oh, even then I’m shaking

‘Cause I am afraid of believing
The plans that we make seem so big
But you’ve shown me that we’re never alone
And your spirit will stay by our side
So I won’t despise
I won’t despise the day
I won’t despise the day of small things….

Alli Rogers: Day of Small Things

P.S. I have made 7 friends since I got here…I like number 4 the best

P.P.S. I am going out with the Corderos…I am so excited and feel so ♥ed!

P.P.P.S. It feels good to FINALLY not be the only liberal or feminist in a classroom…the people in my classes are intoxicating…all totally different and coming from different places…but all brilliant and just amazing…its fun to have people who will at least discuss possibilities with you….and R.R.R is…well….I blush…shes fabulous! I’m so glad I turned down Boston College and NYU….this is a much better fit for me…for now :)

P.P.P.P.S Nine and Inglorious Bastards were amazing…much to chew on!

OH and….293 days till the Wedding…PARTY OF THE YEAR!

And a video that has made me smile all day:
